This game is a comedy of errors as a sportscast. We begin the pregame with...who is that, Glenn Campbell serenading us in the background at the start of the sportscast? How 'bout my cold-induced confusion with the starting line-ups; were we really going to begin the game with offense vs. offense? That's what I would have led you to believe.....
My thanks to Troy Dieters for cruising in with his wife Donna - (nice meeting you, Donna!) from Colorado Springs to call the game with me. T-Roy was my color man in the late 80's for a pair of seasons, and we shared many great Red Devil moments and good times. Troy lettered for the Red Devils in the early 80's, and graduated from EHS in 1984. He bleeds the blue & scarlet and the brown & gold, and that's alright in my book. Good to see you again, pal, and nice job!
My belated thanks as well to one of my high school coaches, Phil Petersen for taking part in our Year-of-the-Coach sportscasts for home games when Rock Springs came to town. You did a great job, Coach - knew you would, and we had some fun!

This is the longest file I have ever posted, due to the fact that our pre-game coverage began, as usual, 30 minutes prior to kick-off. Only this time, as most of you know, kick-off was delayed by 1.5 hours. We explain why, during the sporstscast, as we explained and rambled on about everything, at least twice. We finally threw it back to the KEVA Studios and board op Josh Rasnake for an album side of Wyoming's own Sawmill Creek, because we had run out of intelligent things to say, (and probably long before so). The 25 minutes of Sawmill Creek has been edited down to 45 seconds or so, but everything else is still included in this streaming audio replay.
Even though we used our "Marti," which sends the signal back to the station using microwaves instead of over phone lines for a higher quality of audio, the KEVA online server still needs some tweaking. Look for next week's South 5A Conference opener against the Rock Springs Tigers to have the kind of audio quality we're striving to showcase here.
Thanks as usual to Russ Anderson, Josh Rasnake and to John Davis for their support and assistance, and special thanks to legendary coach and current activities director Kay Fackrell for taking part in the sportscast; Kay did a great job, but that's no surprise.

Once you begin to hear the audio, you'll see the downloaded audio time indicator jump way ahead of what is playing.
