Hard to believe that this site has been up for a year! The information below was written last year, as the new 2004 Red Devil Football schedule is now posted to the calendar and Coach Schrad is entering his 3rd year at the helm; Evanston Football is on the way back!
(Coach Schrad retired following the EHS Football Banquet and I know there are many who, like me want to say, "Thank you Coach Schrad, for all that you've given and for teaching what's really important to the kids in this school district." Evanston is currently searching for a new head coach). Which everyone now knows, is Don Dinnel. Gotta update this section sometime...or not.
Red Devil Football, under the direction of 2nd year head coach Roger Schrad, begins in late August. Please check the Grouchy Mark Calendar, as the football schedule, (along with results) is posted there. The 2003-2004 Boy's Basketball tentative schedule is posted there, as well.
Over the years, I've been fortunate to witness some outstanding athletic team and individual performances by Evanston High School Red Devil & Lady Devil athletes, along with some from the teams the Red Devils compete against, both on the gridiron and the hardwood. I've also had the distinct pleasure to broadcast these athletic events on 1240 AM KEVA, (and 106.1 FM KOTB) whether @ home or on the road. Coupled with the play-by-play, I've been fortuitous to interview many legendary coaches and a few athletes along the way, as well.
