The Red Devils finished with a 5-11 regular season, highlighted by a big victory over the highly-favored Rawlins Outlaws on February 23rd. They finished tied with Superior. The team lacked heigth and experience after losing 8 graduating seniors from the '47-'48 squad.

In the District tournament, Evanston lost to highly rated Kemmerer & Star Valley to finish 5-13.
